Hyderabad: The essence of giving first-aid, like CPR lifesaver to an injured sportsperson or who collapses on the ground, adds value to a coach, trainer or an umpire in modern-day sport. St Martin’s Cricket Academy, Malkajgiri and Medicover Hospitals took the initiative in organising the first-ever CPR lifesaver AED course certificated by (American Heart Institute), at St Martin’s School, Malkajgiri.

About 20 participants, including N Arjun Yadav (former Ranji captain), A Nandakishore (BCCI umpire), Sravanthi Naidu, Diana David (former Indian cricketers), Venkat Swaroop and Musharaf (both ICC Level 1 cricket coaches), attended the course.
All the participants, who pursued the course, received a certificate which is valid for two years. The session was certified and monitored by Dr Naveen Reddy Nimmala (MRCEM – UK) Sr Consultant in Emergency Medicine, Medicover Hospitals, HiTech City.
