Hyderabad: A few days after successfully getting its first billion dollar valued startup, the startup ecosystem of Hyderabad has achieved another feat. Three city-based youngsters aged 26 years featured in the Forbes India 30 Under 30 2022 list.

In a list that features the young achievers ranging from different genres like designers, influencers and sportspersons, three youngsters – Sandeep Sharma, Anil Kumar Reddy and Sarang Bobade – who started Donatekart have also been named.

Started when Sandeep Sharma and Anil K Reddy were fresh out of college at the age of 21, the trio has built an e-commerce of giving, where one does not donate money but ‘shop’ what NGOs list as their requirements. Donatekart procures and delivers it, providing the giver with delivery details.

“Every year, Forbes invites people to apply and this year we thought of applying and fortunately got selected. We are thrilled,” says Sharma, who hails from Nalgonda district.

The startup, which is incubated in T-Hub, has been in existence since the last five years and has helped 1,000-plus NGOs raise funds with over one million donors contributing Rs 150 crore donations. The 65-member team has in the last two years raised about Rs 120 crore in donations and has helped daily wage workers and migrants through its funding platform.

“In the post Covid world, we have helped many get access to oxygen cylinders and hospital beds as well,” says Sharma, who is an NIT Nagpur graduate along with Reddy.
