Hyderabad: Protests continued at the Petbasheerabad police station on Thursday, with different student groups and women’s organizations holding a demonstration demanding the arrest of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay’s son Bandi Sai Bageerath, against whom a POCSO case is registered.
The Petbasheerabad police, on a complaint made by the mother of a victim, registered a case against Sai Bageerath, who has so far been absconding and failed to appear before the police. The case was registered on Friday.
The higher-ups had deployed additional police force outside the Petbasheerabad police station to thwart any protest in front of the police station.
On Thursday, following the protest, the police detained several persons and shifted them to other places.
