HYDERABAD: A Sub-Inspector posted at Borabanda police station has been placed under suspension following allegations of misconduct involving a woman constable and subsequent complaints filed by his wife.
According to the police sources, the sub-inspector Nagul Meera was accused of maintaining an alleged illegal relationship with a woman constable, which reportedly led to domestic issues in his family. His wife, Rehana, a mother of three, lodged complaints with the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, alleging harassment and family disturbance linked to the relationship.
Sources further stated that both the Sub-Inspector and the woman constable were earlier called for counseling by senior officers in an attempt to resolve the matter. However, despite counseling, the alleged relationship reportedly continued, prompting the wife to again approach higher authorities.
Following the renewed complaint and internal inquiry, the Hyderabad Police Commissioner’s office took disciplinary action and placed Sub-Inspector Nagul Meera under suspension.
