Hyderabad: With government schools commencing in-person classes, the Telangana Development Forum (TDF) USA, has decided to donate smart televisions to anywhere between 15 and 17 government schools with the funds raised for the project.
As part of the initiative, the first donation of a smart television was done at Zilla Parishad High School, Jillelaguda here on Thursday.
The TDF USA initiated a smart TVs donation project in 2020 led by Preeti Reddy in USA and supported by the TDF India team, to support government schools. Due to the Covid-19 induced lockdown, the TDF team could not implement this last year, the TDF said.
The initiative would hopefully motivate more people to sponsor some type of technology or need to the government school in their village of choice, it added.
