Mulugu: A software engineer from Hyderabad drowned in Doosapatiloddi at Kongala waterfall in Wazeedu mandal of the district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Rahul Penta (23), a resident of Hyderabad. The body has been retrieved and sent for postmortem. Sources said that Rahul Penta along with four others had arrived at the waterfall for a picnic and met with the watery grave while taking bath in the waters.
Wazeedu police have taken up investigation.
