The youngster through her NGO, ‘The Health Project’ managed to raise funds worth Rs.1,53,000 through crowd funding platform Milap
Hyderabad: A 16-year-old student from Hyderabad, Sindhuja Muppaneni, has raised funds through crowd-funding to procure two oxygen concentrators and donate them to Osmania General Hospital (OGH) for Covid patients.
The youngster through her NGO, ‘The Health Project’ managed to raise funds worth Rs.1,53,000 through crowd funding platform Milap. On Wednesday, the medical equipment procured through this effort was donated by Sindhuja to Superintendent of OGH, Dr B Nagender.
The Superintendent of the hospital Dr B. Nagender was very pleased with the noble gesture coming from the youngster. Along with Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS) Resident Medical Officer (RMO), Dr M Kavita, Dr Nagender also handed over an appreciation letter to Sindhuja for her wonderful efforts and wished many youngsters could take her lead, a press release said.
According to the 16-year-old, who is a student of Indus International School, the aim of her NGO is to support the extremely poor and underprivileged for a healthy and sustainable living through various charitable activities.
