Hyderabad: A 13 year-old boy was run over by a lorry at Chandrayangutta on Sunday afternoon.
According to the police, the victim G Nishkal Goud, a class ninth student and a resident of Errakunta was going on an Activa scooter from Errakunta to Chandrayangutta.
“When the boy reached Noori Shah Graveyard, he tried to overtake a lorry ahead of him. However, the vehicle skidded and he fell from the scooter and came under the front wheel of the lorry. He was run over,” said Chandrayangutta sub inspector, Mohd Akbar.
On information the police reached the spot and shifted the body for postmortem examination to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary. A case is booked by the police and the driver of the lorry taken into custody. The vehicle was also seized by the police.
