Hyderabad temperatures to peak in coming days, thunderstorms likely on April 3, 4
Several districts of Telangana continue to experience intense heat with maximum temperatures ranging from 40-42 degree Celsius

Hyderabad: Hyderabad and multiple districts of Telangana State have continued to experience intense heat with maximum temperatures ranging from 40 degree Celsius to 42 degree Celsius. The summer will continue to peak in the coming days, even as there are chances of some respite in the form of thunderstorms between April 3 and April 4.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad in its forecast on Sunday evening said, “Dry weather very likely to prevail over the State. No large change in maximum temperatures for next 2 days, thereafter gradual fall by 2 – 3 degree Celsius during next 3 days,” IMD-Hyderabad said.
From Thursday, April 3, people in Hyderabad and elsewhere will get some respite from the intense heat, as IMD has issued yellow alert (moderate) for some districts and orange (intense) alert of thunderstorms on Friday, April 4.
The IMD yellow alert for Thursday said “Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy and Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana”.
The orange (high intensity) alert for Friday, April 4, said, “Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) are very likely to occur at isolated places in Kamareddy, Medak, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Mahabubnagar, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts of Telangana while thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Suryapet, Nalgonda and Nagarkurnool districts of Telangana.
