Hyderabad: The Gopalpuram police arrested three persons, including two rowdy sheeters and a minor boy, in a mobile phone snatching case on Monday. Officials seized two mobile phones and a scooter from them.

The arrested trio was identified as M Ravi Teja (21) and Naga Chenna Kesava Rao (21), both rowdy sheeters of Chilkalguda, and a 15-year-old boy from Mettuguda. The suspects were earlier involved in criminal cases, including murder, in Chilkalguda.

According to the police, on June 16, the trio targeted Durga Rao, a cab driver, and snatched away his mobile phone at Chilkalguda ‘X’ road.

The case was solved and the suspects were identified after an extensive review of CCTV footage from over 50 surveillance cameras and through credible information.

Case is under investigation.
