Hyderabad: The Hussaini Alam police on Friday confirmed the arrest of three persons including a minor boy in connection with the hit-and-run case which killed one woman pedestrian and injured three others. The Mercedes Benz car involved in the case was also seized.
The arrested persons were Mohd Adil (20), Shaik Althaf, both from Talabkatta and a teenaged boy.
According to the police, on Wednesday night Adil and his friends, as part of a joy ride came on the road with Adil driving the car in a rash and negligent manner and crashing into an auto-rickshaw and two motorcycles injuring Salamma and others. Salamma died under treatment later in the hospital.
After the incident, the trio fled the spot and took shelter in a place in Shaheen Nagar, from where they were caught.
They were produced before court for remanding in judicial custody while the minor boy was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.
