Hyderabad: The Chatrinaka police on Sunday arrested three private security guards who work for casino organizer Chikoti Praveen at Lal Darwaza and seized their weapons.
Praveen along with his private security guards, who were carrying weapons, came to the Simhavahini Mahankali temple at Lal Darwaza to offer prayers around afternoon.
The policemen who were present there noticed the ‘safari clad’ men carrying weapons and questioned them. On coming to know that they were private security guards, the police rounded them up and shifted them to police station.
“We are verifying the documents including weapon license and permission,” said Chatrinaka Inspector, Amboth Bhojya.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had registered a case of money laundering against Praveen and the enquiry is ongoing. He was recently caught at an illegal casino in Thailand and was deported to India by the authorities.
