Hyderabad: Timber trader kidnapped at LB Nagar

A worker at the shop who informed about the incident told us that the kidnappers asked for money from the victim. Later they took him away. We suspect there are some financial disputes between them

Hyderabad: A timber trader was kidnapped from LB Nagar by few unknown persons on Friday night.

According to the police, some persons came to the shop of Md Arif Aktani at Defence Colony in LB Nagar and forcefully took him away in a car. The gang comprising around 10 members later took away a DCM and a truck full of business material.


“A worker at the shop who informed about the incident told us that the kidnappers asked for money from the victim. Later they took him away. We suspect there are some financial disputes between them,” said V Ashok Reddy, SHO L B Nagar.

On information the LB Nagar police formed special teams and initiated efforts to nab the kidnappers. However, the police later managed to get in touch with Arif who told that they had released him at Medchal and he is going to Nagpur.

The police are continuing efforts to nab the kidnappers.
