Hyderabad: Manthan Samvaad 2025, a day-long public discourse will be organised at Shilpakala Vedika on October 2. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the event will bring together leading minds — thinkers, writers, scientists, lawyers, artists, and citizens — for meaningful conversations on “things that matter.”
Since its founding in 2005, Manthan has emerged as a rare, non-partisan platform committed to free and open dialogue. With over 400 talks and a community of more than 60,000 members, its annual Samvaad, launched in 2012, has become one of India’s most anticipated intellectual gatherings.
This year’s lineup includes defence analyst Pravin Sawhney, who will delve into national security challenges, historian Prof Rudrangshu Mukherjee will speak on Gandhi and Tagore, and microbiologist Prof LS Sasidhara on the origin of life.
Economist Rathin Roy will explore South India’s next transformation, while lawyer Colin Gonsalves will address the Supreme Court and human rights. Journalist Arfa Khanum Sherwani and comedian Vir Das will also take the stage.
Manthan Samvaad 2025 is entirely free, which means there are no registration fees or access restrictions for the audience.
Hyderabad’s unique blend of heritage and modernity makes it the perfect host for this vibrant celebration of citizenship, dialogue, and fearless inquiry.
