Hyderabad to host Miss World 2025 with grand events showcasing Telangana’s culture, heritage
Following the arrival of contestants from 140 countries at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, a grand opening ceremony will be held on May 10 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, showcasing traditional Telangana folk and tribal dance performances in a parade-style theme.
Hyderabad: The Miss World 2025 is set to make its grand debut in Hyderabad this May, with contestants from across the globe touching down the city on May 6 and 7.
A series of events are lined up in the run up to the grand finale on May 31 at Hitex.
After contestants’ arrival from 140 countries at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, a grand opening ceremony, featuring traditional Telangana folk and tribal dance performances in a parade-style theme, will take place on May 10 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.
A spiritual tour at Buddhavanam, a Buddhist theme park, at Nagarajuna Sagar and Hyderabad heritage walk have been scheduled for contestants on May 12 and 13 respectively.
After a welcome dinner at Chowmahalla Palace on May 13, the contestants will go on a Kakatiya Heritage tour, covering Ramappa temple, a UNESCO Heritage site, on May 14 and an interaction with students and communities at Kaloji Kshethram, Warangal, is also scheduled on the same day.

Yadagirigutta temple visit and handloom experiential tour in Pochampally has been planned for contestants on May 15, followed by medical tour to AIG, Apollo and Yashoda hospitals in Hyderabad on May 16.
The Miss World Sports Finale will take place at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on May 17. A cultural evening and Telangana Cuisine food festival is scheduled at Experium Eco Tourism Park on May 17.
A visit to the Telangana Police Integrated Command and Control Centre, State Secretariat premises, Tank Bund and Ambedkar statue is planned on May 19.
The continental finale, where selections to streamline contestants based on continental clusters, will be held at T-Hub on May 20 and 21.
The contestants will participate in an arts and crafts workshop at Shilparamam on May 21.
The Miss World Talent Finale will be held at Shilpakala Vedika on May 22 and the head-to-head challenge final at ISB on May 23. The Miss World Top Model and Fashion Finale will be conducted at Hitex on May 24 and jewellery/pearl show at the same venue on May 25.
After a gala dinner at British Residency/Taj Falaknuma on May 26, the Miss World Final ceremonies and events will be held at Hitex on May 31 and the Miss World winner will meet the Governor and Chief Minister on June 2.
