Hyderabad traffic advisory issued amid Musi River flooding

Hyderabad Traffic Police issued an advisory after heavy rains caused the Musi River to overflow. Roads and bridges at Kulsumpura, Puranapul, Chaderghat, and Moosarambagh are closed. Traffic is being diverted to safer routes. Commuters are urged to follow instructions

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police issued an advisory in view of continuous heavy rainfall in the city and severe flooding, with dangerously high water levels in Musi River.

In view of the rise in level of Musi, the roads from Kulsumpura to Puranapul, at 100 feet road Jiyaguda, Chaderghat Causeway Bridge and Moosarambagh Bridge will be completely closed.


The road from Kulsumpura to Puranapul via 100 Feet Road, Jiyaguda, is completely closed. All general vehicular traffic is asked to take the alternate route via Karwan and Gopi Hotel Road.

All general vehicular traffic and RTC buses coming from Rang Mahal junction and Putlibowli intending to proceed towards Malakpet via Chaderghat Causeway Bridge will be diverted at Chaderghat causeway towards Nimboliadda – Kacheguda Kamela – Golnaka – Golnaka New Bridge – Hitech Function Hall – Afzal Nagar – Moosarambagh – Malakpet.

All vehicular traffic, RTC buses, and heavy vehicles coming from Moosarambagh towards Amberpet will be diverted at Bharath Petrol Pump (take left turn) towards Golnaka New Bridge.
