Hyderabad traffic police caught 1,062 drunk drivers during weeklong check

Out of the total, 918 were two-wheeler riders, 45 were three-wheeler drivers, 98 were four-wheeler drivers, and one was a heavy vehicle driver. In terms of BAC levels, 196 individuals registered between 30-50, 463 between 51-100, 226 between 101-150, and the remaining 112 recorded levels between 151-200.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad traffic police during a drunken driving check conducted this week caught 1062 persons and registered cases against them.

Of the total number, 918 were two wheeler riders, 45 three wheeler drivers, 98 four wheeler drivers and a heavy vehicle driver.

The BAC level of 196 persons was recorded between 30-50 while 463 recorded between 51 -100, 226 recorded level between 101-150 while remaining 112 recorded level between 151 – 200.

A lady was also caught by the traffic police during the checking. All the persons who were caught were asked to attend counselling and later they will have to appear before the court.
