Hyderabad: The City Traffic Police once again facilitated the transport of a live human organ by providing a green channel to an ambulance on Thursday and helped in saving a life.

The ambulance carrying a pair of lungs started from KIMS Hospital at Kondapur at 7.53 am and reached KIMS Hospital at Begumpet at 8.09 am covering a distance of 20 kilometres in 16 minutes. The efforts of the Hyderabad and Cyberabad traffic police were appreciated by the hospital management. This year, the traffic police provided non-stop movement for transportation of organs on 39 instances.
