Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory in view of Bakrid festival-related goat and sheep sales expected on May 27 and 28.

Heavy traffic congestion is likely on the Tolichowki–Nanal Nagar–Rethibowli stretch on both sides, along with the Rethibowli to Attapur road corridor. To ensure smooth vehicular movement, traffic diversions and alternate routes will be in effect daily from 5 pm to 4 am.

Accordingly, motorists proceeding from Raidurgam and Gachibowli towards Mehdipatnam are advised to use Film Nagar Road via Shaikpet underpass and Brindavan Colony Road after the Shaikpet flyover ramp.

Vehicles travelling from Lakdikapul towards Raidurgam and Gachibowli should take a turn at Masab Tank junction and proceed through Banjara Hills.

Likewise, vehicles from Mehdipatnam heading towards Raidurgam and Gachibowli will be diverted at Nanal Nagar towards Langer Houz and Narsingi Road.

Those coming from Masab Tank towards Attapur have been advised to take the alternate route via PVNR Expressway Pillars No. 2 and 3, Meraj Cafe and Gudimalkapur.

The Traffic Police also advised private travel buses to avoid the Mehdipatnam–Tolichowki stretch during nighttime and instead use the Outer Ring Road.
