Hyderabad Traffic Police nabs 1,113 persons for drunk driving

Violators will be sent for counselling at Traffic Training Institutions

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have caught 1,113 persons on charges of drunk driving during a series of special drives conducted at various locations in the city between March 22 and 28.

According to the police, 942 were found driving two-wheelers, 48 were driving three-wheelers and 118 were driving four-wheelers. Three were minors.

The violators will also be sent for counselling at the Traffic Training Institutions at Goshamahal and Begumpet.

Officials said persons caught and convicted for drunk driving were likely to face difficulties in securing government jobs, passport and visa clearance.
