Hyderabad: A group of transgenders allegedly attacked the manager of Taaza Kitchen, a popular restaurant in Madhapur, when the latter refused to pay them money.
The incident happened on Tuesday when three transgenders went to the hotel and demanded donations in view of the ensuing Holi festival. The hotel manager Raghavendar was stated to have offered Rs 500 to them, for which they picked up an argument demanding at least Rs 50,000.
The hotel manager reportedly refused to pay and the transgenders became aggressive and a scuffle ensued between the hotel staff and the transgenders, in which Raghavendar sustained injuries on his face. The hotel staff lodged a complaint with the Madhapur police. A case is registered and investigation is in progress.
