Hyderabad: Two held for carrying unaccounted Rs 20 lakh cash

Acting on a tip, the police caught Harsh Patel (20) and Kishan Patel (21), residents of Yapral and natives of Gujarat.

Hyderabad: Two persons who were transporting unaccounted money were caught by the Rachakonda Special Operations Team (Malkajgiri) on Friday night.

Acting on a tip, the police caught Harsh Patel (20) and Kishan Patel (21), residents of Yapral and natives of Gujarat. They were allegedly carrying Rs. 20 lakh cash in a car when they were caught at Jawaharnagar by the police.


The police suspect the amount pertains to hawala business. The duo could not produce any documents to acknowledge the source of the money.

Both the persons were taken into custody and the amount seized.
