Hyderabad: Two killed five injured in car-truck collision in city outskirts

As per available information, a TATA Safari car proceeding from Siddipet towards the city, went out of control and hit a road median. It further jumped the median and went on the other side of the road and hit a truck coming from the opposite direction.

Hyderabad: Two persons died and at least five others were injured in a collision between a car and a truck on the national highway at Lal Gadi Malakpet near Genome Valley on the city outskirts on Tuesday.

As per available information, a TATA Safari car proceeding from Siddipet towards the city, went out of control and hit a road median. It further jumped the median and went on the other side of the road and hit a truck coming from the opposite direction.


Two people died and five were injured. The deceased were identified as Raju from Wargal in Siddipet district and Shravan from Muraripally. Three people were travelling in the truck and six in the Safari.

The injured were taken to the local hospital. The condition of one of the injured is said to be critical.

The police said that a case has been registered in this regard and an investigation has been initiated.
