A 52-year-old man died after being knocked down by an autorickshaw while crossing the road at Bahadurpura on Saturday evening. The victim suffered a severe head injury and was declared dead at the hospital. Police arrested the driver and registered a case
The incident occurred when the victim, Spandana (19), was riding pillion on the scooter of her friend Sai Kumar when the car, which went out of control due to rash driving, crashed into their vehicle on the service road.
As per available information, a TATA Safari car proceeding from Siddipet towards the city, went out of control and hit a road median. It further jumped the median and went on the other side of the road and hit a truck coming from the opposite direction.
According to reports, the accident occured near the ORR Exit No 18 after midnight. A person Anand, who was driving a car died in the accident while two other persons sustained injuries.
The incident occurred when the driver of the a car carrying four passangers, lost control and hit the divider when the vehicle was on its way from Miyapur towards Kukatpally
