Hyderabad: A 19-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy were killed after a tipper truck allegedly rammed the Activa scooter they were travelling on at Ellareddygudem near Vempuguda in Jawaharnagar on Saturday night.
The victims, were identified as Deepsika, (19) and Amardoy, (15).
According to police, the duo had gone to a Vinayaka mandapam to have community meal and were returning home when the tipper truck collided with their scooter.
The impact was severe and both sustained critical injuries. They died at the spot.
On receiving information, Jawaharnagar police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem examination.
A case has been registered and police are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident. The tipper driver and the cause of the collision are being examined as part of the investigation.
