Hyderabad: Two killed, one injured after speeding car crashes into roadside water vendor’s shed
Two people were killed and another seriously injured when a speeding car rammed into a roadside water vendor’s shed in Durganagar, Hyderabad. Police have taken the driver into custody, citing rash and negligent driving as the cause.
Hyderabad: Two persons were killed and one other was seriously injured after a speeding car ploughed into a roadside water vendor’s shed at Durganagar, under the Mailardevpally police station limits on Wednesday morning.
The victims were identified as Deepak (25) and Prabhu Maharaj (60), both natives of Madhya Pradesh. Deepak died on the spot due to severe injuries, while Prabhu Maharaj succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The third victim, Sathunath (27), suffered serious injuries and is being treated at Osmania General Hospital.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 5 am., when an Innova car bearing registration number AP09 BP 9444, travelling from the Outer Ring Road towards Durganagar, was being driven in a rash and negligent manner.
The vehicle lost control near Durganagar ground and crashed into a water vendor’s shed, where the three victims were sleeping.
The Mailardevpally police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The car driver was identified and taken into custody.
Police officials said a rash and negligent driving led to the accident and driver was not under the influence of alcohol.
