Hyderabad: Woman booked for land grabbing nabbed at RGIA while fleeing India
Vijaya Lakshmi is facing charges of land grabbing and several cases have been already booked against her.

Hyderabad: The Dundigal police arrested P Vijaya Lakshmi, the owner of Lakshmi Srinivasa Construction, who allegedly built villas in an illegal layout in Mallampet, while allegedly trying to flee the country at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Thursday.
Vijaya Lakshmi is facing charges of land grabbing and several cases have been already booked against her.
Earlier, following complaints, the HYDRAA authorities had demolished several villas which were illegally constructed by Lakshmi Srinivasa Constructions. Vijaya Lakshmi has reportedly been on the run since then.
On Thursday morning, she allegedly was planning to flee the country and reached the RGIA to board a flight to the US. After being alerted by the immigration officials, the Dundigal police reached the airport and took her into custody. She was shifted to the police station and questioned.
Police are making arrangements to take Vijaya Lakshmi to the hospital for medical tests and produce in the court for remanding in judicial custody.
Meanwhile, victims of Lakshmi Srinivasa Constructions had reached the Dundigal police station in large numbers.
