Hyderabad: Woman dies by suicide at KPHB hostel over job concerns

A 24-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh died by suicide at a private hostel in KPHB, Hyderabad, on Friday. She had recently moved to the city in search of a job and was reportedly distressed after failing to secure suitable employment.

Hyderabad: A young woman died by suicide allegedly after becoming upset over not securing a suitable job, at a private hostel in KPHB on Friday.

Yamini (24), a native of Chilakaluripet in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh, had recently come to the city in search of a job. She stayed at a ladies’ hostel on Road No. 1, KPHB. However, after repeated attempts, she failed to secure a job.

Locals said she was reportedly distressed over not being able to secure a job.

She hanged herself from the ceiling fan in the room.

The KPHB police are investigating.
