Hyderabad: Woman ends life after quarrel over phone recharge in Jeedimetla

A 32-year-old woman died by suicide in Jeedimetla after an argument with her live-in partner over a mobile phone recharge. Police said she took the extreme step after he left the house. A case has been registered.

Hyderabad: A 32 year-old woman died by suicide at Jeedimetla after a quarrel with her live-in partner over a phone recharge issue on Friday.

The woman Kavya, was into a live-in relationship with one person Venkatesh alias Chandu, and the duo lived together in a house at Prashanthnagar, Jeedimetla.

On Friday evening Chandu and Kavya had an argument after the latter asked Chandu to make a recharge to her mobile phone but the man failed to do it. After Chandu left the house, Kavya bolted the door of the room from inside and hanged herself to the ceiling fan, said the police. Chandu returned home later and found Kavya, hanging from the ceiling fan. He alerted the police who reached the spot and after inquiries shifted the body for postmortem examination to Gandhi Hospital mortuary.

A case is registered.
