Hyderabad: Taking umbrage at the allegation by a woman for an alleged extra-marital affair with the latter’s husband, a woman died by suicide at Dabeerpura on Tuesday.

According to the police, Parveen Begum (30) was working as a housemaid and lived at Osmanpura in Dabeerpura police station limits. On Monday evening, a woman came to her house and quarrelled accusing her of being in an extra-marital relationship with her husband.

“After the quarrel, the woman went away and Parveen, who was alone in the house, consumed poisonous substance. She was shifted to hospital where she died,” said Dabeerpura police. The family members said Parveen slipped into depression after accusations and might have consumed poisonous substance.

On a complaint, a case is registered and an investigation is going on.
