Hyderabad: Traffic police registered a case against a youth for violating motor vehicle rules after he was caught riding a scooter without displaying the registration number during a special enforcement drive at Taj Deccan junction in Banjara Hills on Monday.
As per information available, traffic officials had stopped the vehicle as it did not have a visible number plate affixed on its body. Upon inspection, police found that the rider had kept the registration plate inside the dicky (storage compartment). Further verification revealed that the vehicle already had 23 pending challans against it, which the rider had neglected to clear.
Taking serious note of the repeated violations and negligent behaviour, the traffic police booked a case against the rider and seized the vehicle.
