Hyderabad youth escapes Kurnool bus fire that left several passengers dead

A 24-year-old youth from Hyderabad’s Kukatpally, identified as Surya, narrowly escaped the tragic bus fire near Kurnool that claimed several lives. The Vemuri Kaveri Travels bus was en route to Bengaluru when it caught fire after a major accident.

Hyderabad: In the horrific bus accident which occurred in Kurnool in the early hours of Friday, a youth from Kukatpally here had narrowly escaped death.

The youth identified as Surya (24) from Moosapet, had boarded the Vemuri Kaveri Travels bus heading to Bengaluru.

According to reports, Surya had booked seat number L16 on the ill-fated bus that caught fire after a major mishap near Kurnool in the early hours.

The vehicle was completely gutted, leaving several passengers charred to death, while a few managed to escape. Surya was among those who survived the tragedy and is reported to be safe.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident and are working to identify the victims.

Families of the passengers have been rushing to get updates as authorities continue rescue and relief operations at the site.
