Hyderabad: Youth jailed for harassing minor girl

Hyderabad: A local court on Wednesday has sentenced a youth to one year rigourous imprisonment in the sexual harassment case of a minor girl reported in Saroornagar in 2020. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 on him.

J Sai Kiran (24), a private employee from Balaji Hills in Medchal, reportedly was harassing the girl from Saroornagar by stalking and pressurising her to love him.


Based on a complaint, the Saroornagar police arrested Sai Kiran. The court also ordered a compensation of Rs 50,000 to the minor girl.
