Hyderabad: For generations, this is one combination that Hyderabadis have woken up to, and by which they survive even the toughest of situations. Sipping a piping hot cup of Hyderabadi chai, nibbling into an Osmania biscuit that is sweet and salty at the same time – a combo that gets most in the city through the day. 

Now, this iconic combo has found a new fan in the form of Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Apparently in a Paradise Food Court outlet, Sharma on Thursday tweeted the photo of a tea cup, saying ‘fresh Osmania biscuit and Hyderabadi chai is a killer combo’.

Hyderabadis did not miss the chance to appreciate Sharma’s ode to the city’s favourite combo, while some, as usual, took out time to suggest more Hyderabadi things he should try out before leaving the city. While some said he should try out the Irani chai and Osmania biscuit at Charminar and also treat himself to mutton biryani from Paradise, there were others who asked him to try out the ‘chai’ from Niloufer Cafe.
