Hyderabadi engineer dies in Saudi Arabia apartment fire

Shaikh Abdur Rahman Imran, a 35-year-old Hyderabadi engineer, died in Saudi Arabia a week after sustaining severe burns in a suspected gas leak-related fire in his apartment. His family is arranging for his burial in the Kingdom.

Dubai: A 35-year-old Hyderabadi engineer died on Wednesday, a week after sustaining severe burns in a fire that broke out in his apartment in Saudi Arabia.

Shaikh Abdur Rahman Imran was seriously injured in a suspected gas leak-related fire accident at his residence in the Eastern Province. He had been working as an electrical engineer in the region.


Abdur Rahman, the only child of his parents, was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. His parents, originally from Toli Chowki in Hyderabad, had spent most of their lives in the Kingdom before returning to India.

The family, now residing in Hyderabad, is reportedly making arrangements for his burial in Saudi Arabia, according to family sources.
