Hyderabadi girl shines in SAT exam

Lakkineni Sharmista secured a perfect score of 800/800 in the Mathematics section and 770/800 in the reading and writing section

Hyderabad: Hyderabad girl, Lakkineni Sharmista scored a creditable 1,570 in the SAT examination held on December 5. She secured a perfect score of 800/800 in the Mathematics section and 770/800 in the reading and writing section.

She was inspired by the success story of the JEE-Advanced 2020 topper Chirag Falor who had secured admission in the UG course at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), US, on the basis of his score of 1,560 in SAT last year.

Sharmista wants to study Economics and plans to apply for an admission in top colleges in the US including the Ivy League colleges like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, etc., apart from MIT. She already got admission offers from top colleges in the UK like Durham University and the University of Manchester and is awaiting decisions from other top UK colleges like the London School of Economics.
