Hyderabad teen dies in car crash in Medak
According to the police, Chintu, who was reportedly behind the wheel, lost control over the vehicle’s steering, causing it to overturn. Prathima died on the spot due to the impact, while the other three escaped with minor injuries.

Medak: A 17-year-old girl from Hyderabad died in a road accident near Edupayala temple in Medak district during the early hours of Sunday, after the car she was travelling in overturned and the driver lost control of the steering.
The deceased, Kothuri Prathima, a resident of Begumpet in Hyderabad, had gone on a long drive with her friends, Golla Chintu (17), Manohar, and Shiva Kumar, all residents of Fatehnagar. After offering prayers at the Edupayala temple, the group was returning via the Narsapur–Medak road when the accident occurred.
According to the police, Chintu, who was reportedly behind the wheel, lost control over the vehicle’s steering, causing it to overturn. Prathima died on the spot due to the impact, while the other three escaped with minor injuries.
Police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by Prathima’s father, Anjaiah. Further investigation is underway.
