Hyderabad: Cute little puppies with innocent eyes found a loving home with the help of a programme for adoption of stray puppies in the city organised by All for Animals NGO. Held every Sunday morning since January at Dog Park, Necklace Road, the programme expanded its horizons and was organised at KBR Park for the first time on November 14.

“Although it was our first time at KBR Park, the programme was quite successful. Seven puppies in KBR and seven puppies in Dog Park were adopted which totalled to 14 adoptions yesterday,” shares Vijaya Reddy who is working closely with All for Animals NGO founder Shrilu Bhopal and GHMC.

These stray animals have been rescued and fostered by several of the NGO’s volunteers. The puppies are also given free Anti-Rabies Vaccination by GHMC at the programme venue. “We also offer 7in1 vaccination but that is not for free,” Vijaya informs.

The visitors interested in adopting the stray puppies would have to fill a form and were explained about the basic requirements of taking care of these four-legged furry creatures.

“We have seen several street dogs being abandoned on the roads and some are also killed due to the running traffic. So, we want to make sure the person adopting the pet knows to take care of the pet and maintain its safety like taking the dog out only with a leash on and so on,” Vijaya shares.

So, what’s your idea about giving a life to these innocent and lovable pets?
