Hyderabad’s Dr. Raghu Ram conferred Honorary FRCS by Royal College Glasgow

Hyderabad-based breast cancer surgeon Dr. Raghu Ram Pillarisetti has been awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. He is the only surgeon globally to hold both FRCS (by examination) and Honorary FRCS from the same college.

Hyderabad: Senior breast cancer surgeon from Hyderabad Dr. Raghu Ram Pillarisetti has been conferred the Honorary Fellowship of Royal Collee of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCS) (Glasgow) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG).

The FRCS (Glasgow) honour was formally bestowed upon Dr. Raghu Ram by Prof. Hany Etiba, president of RCPSG, at a ceremony held at Royal College Hall in Glasgow on September 10.

Dr. Pillarisetti, who is the founder director of KIMS-Ushalakshmi Centre for Breast Diseases, Hyderabad, now holds the unique honour of being the only surgeon worldwide to be both an FRCS (by examination) and an Honorary Fellow of the same College, a press release said.
