Hyderabad’s NGOs distribute groceries to tribals in Nirmal

Nirmal: Under the aegis of Samaritans for the Nation, Project Annapurna, Learning Space Foundation, all voluntary organisations from Hyderabad and film artiste Jeevan Kumar, distributed groceries to 350 tribals living in remote habitations in Kaddam mandal on Wednesday.
In-charge Superintendent Ch Praveen Kumar, who was the chief guest of the event, said the gesture of the voluntary organisations was precious and praised tribals for practicing physical distancing to break the chain of the viral infection. He opined that people living in plains could draw inspiration from ethnic tribes dwelling in interior parts. He appreciated Jeevan Kumar for coming forward to sponsor the groceries to the tribals.
The essentials were given to tribals belonging to Gandigopalpur, Kattakindigudem, Gandigudem, Middechinta, Rampur, Maisampet and Udumpur villages in Kaddam mandal. The recipients expressed their gratitude for the gesture by NGOs and the film artiste and thanked the policemen for organising the event.
Nirmal DSP Upender Reddy, Khanapur Inspector Sridhar, Kaddam Sub-Inspector Raju and his counterpart of Dasturabad Rahul were present.
