Hydraa clears encroachments, desilts nalas across Hyderabad

Hydraa undertakes desilting and anti-encroachment operations in Hyderabad’s nalas to prevent monsoon flooding. Encroachments near Khairatabad and Kukatpally have been removed, and accumulated waste cleared using long-arm JCBs as part of citywide infrastructure improvement efforts

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) has taken up desilting works at the nalas in the city by involving Hydraa Monsoon Emergency Teams (HMETs) and DRF teams.

These efforts are part of a broader initiative to enhance the city’s infrastructure and mitigate the impact of heavy rain.

The Hydraa also demolished encroachments on the drains and cleared encroachments on the Bulkapur Nala near Khairatabad Sridhar Function Hall, and also from the Kukatpally IDL Lake Nala.

At Khairatabad Junction, Hydraa has removed a large accumulation of waste from the nala culvert, and using long-arm JCBs, waste, along with thermocol and plastic, has been cleared.
