Hyderabad: On Friday, HYDRAA teams demolished a five-storey apartment in Miyapur in the presence of revenue, HMDA and GHMC officials. The agency said it took action after HMDA lodged a complaint that the building had been erected on encroached land.
In a press release, HYDRAA said the structure built by the owners of Bhanu Constructions, Yellareddy and others, encroached on HMDA land in Miyapur survey number 101, adjacent to Ameenpur survey numbers 337 and 338.
The developers had originally purchased plot number 126 measuring 400 square yards in a HUDA-approved layout within Ameenpur survey numbers 337 and 338. They then extended into government land by carving out plots 126/D, 126/part and 126/C.
Inspection revealed the building covered approximately 873 square yards, of which about 473 square yards belonged to HMDA land. Officials discovered that the LRS document created in 2014 was forged and that the demand draft submitted for the LRS payment was also fraudulent. A case has already been registered at Ameenpur police station, it said.
