Hyderabad: After a final notification of Salkam Cheruvu in Chandrayangutta and thorough verification of all geographical parameters and full tank levels (FTLs), demolition of the Fatima Owaisi Educational Campus would be taken up, said Hydraa Commissioner, AV Ranganath.
Participating in a ‘Meet the Press’ here on Saturday, Ranganath when questioned about the inordinate delay in demolishing the educational campus said, “to examine all aspects and to avoid legal issues in future, Hydraa is taking time before coming to a conclusion on demolition.”
Meanwhile, the Commissioner advised the Indian Meteorological Department-Hyderabad to deploy updated technology and increase the number of automatic weather stations (AWS) in the city to obtain real-time accurate forecasts. “We noticed recently, the IMD said in its forecast that the city may experience heavy to heavy rainfall, but it did not happen,” he said.
Apart from collecting data on FTLs of water bodies, Hydraa has also decided to gather data on their agricultural ayacut for which assistance from Survey of India, NGRI, and other wings is being taken, he added.
