Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (Hydraa) on Thursday claimed to have reclaimed 16,000 sq yards of land, said to be worth over Rs 400 crore, at Jubilee Enclave in Madhapur.
Hydraa deployed men and machinery at Jubilee Enclave early in the morning and demolished encroachments on parks and roads. The layout, approved in 1995, comprises approximately 100 plots over 22.20 acres with land earmarked for four parks and roads. The encroachers allegedly took over 8,500 sq yards of land designated for two parks and another 5,000 sq yards earmarked for roads.

Tin sheds and a hotel that encroached on 300 sq yards of government land were demolished along with other illegal structures, a press release said.
Representatives of Jubilee Enclave layout complained to Hydraa, the parks gifted to the GHMC were encroached following which a field investigation was taken up to confirm the encroachments.
Accordingly, Hydraa demolished the encroachments and installed signboards and fenced the reclaimed area.
