Hydraa, SCB to conduct joint inspection of Hasmathpet and Picket nalas

A joint inspection of Hasmathpet and Picket nalas in Secunderabad Cantonment will be held next week by Hydraa Commissioner AV Ranganath and SCB CEO D Madhukar Naik to address bottlenecks and streamline nala restoration efforts

Hyderabad: A joint inspection of the Hasmathpet and Picket nalas in the Secunderabad Cantonment area will be conducted next week by Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) Commissioner AV Ranganath and Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) CEO D Madhukar Naik.

The decision was made during a high-level meeting convened on Friday at the Hydraa office in Buddha Bhavan, where officials from both agencies deliberated on two key issues — removal of bottlenecks and the restoration of nalas in the Cantonment limits.

Engineering and sanitation officials from the SCB were invited to the meeting, which focused on tackling the long-standing issues of waterlogging and infrastructure constraints at Hasmathpet Nala and Picket Nala.

The joint inspection aims to assess the condition of the nalas on the ground and facilitate coordinated action between Hydraa and SCB for effective flood mitigation ahead of the monsoon.
