Hyderabad: State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday said he was an ambassador of the poor people in the State.
Addressing a public meeting at Bejjanki in Siddipet district on the 32nd day of his ‘Praja Sangrama’ yatra, Sanjay said farmers had incurred losses because of damage to their crops due to rains and demanded the State government pay compensation to them.
The farmers would have received financial relief for their crop loss if the Central government’s Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana scheme had been implemented in the State, he said, demanding the State government to implement the scheme in Telangana.
Asking farmers not to worry about their produce, he promised he would ensure that the Centre purchases paddy from farmers in the State.
