Hyderabad: After securing a late win against Rajasthan United FC in their last match, Sreenidi Deccan FC are all set to take on Delhi FC in the match-week 3 of the I-League 2024-25 season at the Deccan Arena on Monday.

The Deccan Warriors defeated Churchill Brothers FC in their previous game with a 2-1 scoreline, while Delhi FC lost to Real Kashmir FC in an away encounter.

Speaking ahead of the match, SFDC head coach Rui Amorim said, “Delhi have an organised team with good players but unfortunately, they don’t have the points to showcase that. The two wins have given us more confidence and we will continue to fight till the final whistle of each match.”

The Portuguese coach also spoke about the fans’ support fueling the team’s performance and said, “We are very grateful to our fans that are supporting us with all their hearts and we hope they continue their unwavering support towards the Deccan Warriors.”

Forward David Castaneda, who has spent the last three seasons with the Deccan Warriors, spoke about the upcoming fixture and said, “It will be a tough game like any other game in the I-League but we believe in what we have as a team, and in our hard work and we will go for the three points tomorrow.”

Sreenidi Deccan FC won both their fixtures against Delhi FC with a 1-0 scoreline in the last season and will look to make it three wins in a row at the Deccan Arena.
