Actor and television host Shibani Dandekar opens up about taking her relationship with actor Farhan Akhtar to next level, supporting Rhea Chakraborty and standing for what is right.
In an interview, she told ‘Bollywood Bubble’ that she will figure it out and let people know and there’s nothing to it as of now.
The couple, however, got some quality time with each other during the lockdown which gave them a chance to know each other ‘much quicker’ than they would have otherwise. “We already do so much together, in terms of… we work out together, we watch content together, we would play with our dogs together, and then he would go off and work, and I would go off and work. So, we had a great balance, that way. And we have a lot of interests that are similar. We both like our time apart as well. We had a great set-up going on, actually,” Shibani shared.
The actor and television host was making news for having condemned action against Rhea Chakraborty in the aftermath of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death last year. When asked about the same, Shibani says she has ‘no regrets’ about it.
In the same interview, she said that she has said things that haven’t gone down too well publicly, especially in the last couple of years, and that she has lost a fanbase and followers for standing up for what she believes is right.
She told ‘Bollywood Bubble’, “It didn’t bother me, and I don’t say this in a brave, ‘I’m invincible’ kind of way. It didn’t bother me, because for me, it was just about being as honest and as real as possible. I stood up for what was right. I still stand by that today. I wouldn’t have it any other way. And once you know what your truth is, what people say is really irrelevant to me. And I don’t know these people, so, how can you affect me if I don’t know who you are.”
