ICFAI Law School hosts 11th NJ Yasaswy Memorial Moot Court

ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad, opened the 11th NJ Yasaswy Memorial Moot Court Competition with a call for perseverance and critical thinking in legal studies. Supreme Court Bar Association president Dr Pradeep Rai and director general Prof Vijender Kumar addressed participants, stressing advocacy skills and commitment.

Hyderabad: ICFAI Law School organised the inaugural session of the 11th NJ Yasaswy Memorial Moot Court Competition here on Friday. The three-day competition carries a prize pool of Rs. 2 lakh.

Delivering the inaugural address, Supreme Court Bar Association president Dr. Pradeep Rai emphasized that the study of law requires extensive reading, concentration, commitment, and perseverance. Recalling his early days as an advocate, he inspired the participants by stating that there are no absolute winners or losers, and that everyone who puts in sincere effort is a winner.


ICFAI Law School director general Prof. Vijender Kumar urged participants to read original judgments, develop critical thinking, and approach legal issues from an advocate’s perspective. He also shared tips to help participants improve their advocacy skills and deliver better performances.

Around 80 teams from law schools across India are participating in the competition that will be adjudicated by a panel of 92 judges drawn from academia, legal practitioners, and leading law firms.
