ICMR-NIN Hyderabad to host National Innovation Summit INFUSE 2025 on Nutrition and Food

Hyderabad: The ICMR – National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Hyderabad, is hosting National Innovation Summit – INFUSE 2025 (Innovations in Nutrition & Food for Unified Solutions and Empowerment) on December 4 and 5.
The two-day summit will bring together the country’s most promising innovators, start-ups, and technology developers to interact with researchers working at the intersection of food, nutrition, health, and technology.
A total of 33 potentially promising innovations have been shortlisted from over 149 entries received from across the country. Selected proposals span four critical thematic areas including Food Technology for Healthy Diets covering novel processing technologies and nutrient-dense food formulations, Nutrient Assessment tools and platforms offering rapid, affordable, and accurate nutrient profiling, Precision and Personalised Nutrition applications including AI/ML-powered platforms designed to deliver customised dietary guidance and Point-of-Care (POC) Devices including portable diagnostics for nutritional biomarkers such as hemoglobin, iron, Vitamin D etc.
“These 33 shortlisted innovators will showcase their concepts, prototypes, and market-ready technologies before scientists, policymakers, industry partners, and investors.
The summit aims to bridge innovation with implementation by offering opportunities for funding, collaboration, mentorship for validation studies, and scale-up for public health”, Dr Bharati Kulkarni, Director, NIN, said.
